On a rough old day

… the squalls amused themselves by tearing the heads off the newly-emerged roses.  Meantime the rain is helping the bindweed to grow a mile a minute.

But yes:  the water butts have filled up, all right.

    • This beheaded rose was L. D. Braithwaite, but I do also have R gallica officinalis – and they were, more appropriately as Lancastrians, beheaded too. Grump grump.
