  1. black aphids on bean plants…a dose of soapy water will soon cure that!…Sorry, being practical. Love your little lizard; where is it you live? We don’t have them in Sussex.

    • I haven’t tackled this outbreak yet, I’m usually not organised enough to treat them regularly and they tend to get away with it. You’re right, it is a lizard but the legless slow-worm kind. They live all over Britain so there are probably some near you. They like a nice dry sheltered slightly sunny compost bin – I have a lid on mine and they sit there to warm themselves when it’s chilly, and I think they hibernate there too.
