The annual smelly encounter with the sludge at the bottom of a water butt was complicated by having to replace its broken tap.

Added value from raku tongs when one has short arms and only two hands…

  1. I cam empathise with you here because I cracked my tap when filling a watering can last night. My dilemma is: do I allow a full water butt to drip away and slowly empty before replacing the tap, or do I empty the butt and replace the tap? It’s a lose-lose situation.
