High speed hacking

Another mostly dry day – almost a record – so I went out to play Hunt the Vegetable Plot.  I only managed the crudest kind of weeding, as the soil is still so claggy the hoe blade needed scraping off every few minutes.

Weed heap – and plenty more to come.

Hadn’t got near the root row since the first thinning. I turned these small parsnips and carrots into vegetable mash, and the guinea pigs love carrot tops.
