    • Of all the times I’ve crossed the Severn I can only remember a couple of occasions on which it didn’t rain as soon as we reached Wales – though yesterday we managed to cop it on both sides. It was good to see the bridges with the sun on them, though, always lovely to look at.

  1. I concur with that, R. Used to visit the in-laws in Ferryside regularly. Croeso y Cymru and it started to rain. Scenic route in, bridge out – avoiding the toll.
